Weekend Course: Silence of the Rauhnächte

The darkest time of the year is a special time. In nature, everything is very slow, hibernates or rests. For us humans, it is a time to appreciate the old, to transform, and to dream of the new. On this weekend, we want to become silent, connect with ourselves and the silent nature surrounding us.

- Cultural roots, customs, and rituals around the winter solstice and the Rauhnächte
- Smudging with native wild plants
- Individual exercises for reflection and to gather and celebrate the fruits of the past year
- Medicine walk: Exploring, through exchange with the natural world, what these fruits can tell us about our individual gifts
- Setting intentions for the coming year
- Neuroaffective meditations and trauma-sensitive mindfulness exercises for self-regulation and communication with the more-than-human world
